Can you force your working wife to stay at home, according to religion?

Love & Family

“Men have authority over women, because of the favors that Allah bestows on them on them, and also because of the expenditure they do on their own…”

Can you force your working wife to stay at home, according to religion?

Question: I am a teacher and four years ago I married a teacher from whom Allah granted me a daughter. Since all this period mentioned, we live in the problems because of his family, his parents and his friends. I don't see any other solution except to prevent it from working. Is that allowed to me?

Answer: You can prevent your wife from working and force her to stay in the house so that she can focus on raising her children and taking care of you. Without your consent and permission, she should not work outside her home if you provide her with what she needs, as you are responsible and responsible for her maintenance. As in the verse of Sura A'Nissa: “Men have authority over women, because of the favors that Allah bestows on them on them, and also because of the expenditure they do on their own…”
