Unlike in their early days, sellers no longer rub their hands over selling false hips and buttocks. Indeed, the sale of these products has now declined, because the girls are no longer addicted. At least, this is the testimony given by the majority of the salespeople interviewed. “Things don't work like they used to.”
“Girls no longer buy too much artificial buttocks and hips,” says Abdou Také, sellet at the HLM market. Present in this sector for four years, this inhabitant of Unit 18 of “Parcelles Assainies” says that he sometimes sell, in the space of a week, two dozen of this product. But, today, continues our interlocutor, “I cannot manage to sell a dozen, and it is regrettable.”
He complains in addition to the costs for the manufacture of the buttocks and hips. “The material for making the hips and buttocks is expensive. We are unlocking great resources to satisfy our customers. “Indeed, the epaulet ball is at 250,000 CFA francs. And in addition there are the shorts, but also the workforce.
The merchant however specifies that he gives thanks to God. Abdou Také also provides information on the selling price of the buttocks and hips per item. In his opinion, the price varies among traders. Indeed, some traders sell the hips alone at 2000 Fcfa and the hips with buttocks at 2500 Fcfa. While, continues our interlocutor, others sell them at, 1500 Fcfa for the hips and 1750 Fcfa for the hips with buttocks.
