“Natural” fake hair, sexy outfit, and expensive cell phone: What should you know about the incredible life of the so-called “trendy” or VIP girls?

Updated on January 20, 2021, Seytoo
Fake hair, half naked, expensive iPhone, etc.: What makes these “VIP” girls so incredible?

Today the moral degradation has reached a worrying proportion in our society undergoing major changes. Some so-called “trendy” or VIP girls roam the clubs, chic places in “sexy” outfits in search of easy wins. The good life, the “sexy” clothes, deals and infidelities punctuate the life of these nymphs who bite into life. Wanting to mark the difference with other so-called “correct or fashionable” girls, these “trendy” nymphs do not even care about their future; their only concern is the “now,” easy money, and anything necessary to live a “good life.” If you want to put them in your bed, you just need to have lots of money.

It is noon in Fass, in a suburb very close to the great agglomeration of Dakar. At this time, the students leave their schools to return to their home. Students storm the benches of houses facing the large sewage drainage canal. In this working-class neighborhood where poverty is rife, some get by as best they can by running a small business, while other so-called “trendy” people enjoy the good life despite the precariousness.

“There are ten of us girls living in the house where there are only tenants. In one of the families, living in the house, there are five daughters of the same mother and same father. Each of the girls tries somehow to make a living in to help their mother. Only the youngest embodies the “trendy girl” syndrome; she subscribes to nightclubs and loves “sexy” clothes and has fun as best she can.” testifies a resident of the house.

By this time, the girl in question has just woken up and claims her breakfast after noon.

“A girl must have a good life and must frequent chic circles. In any case, I don't want to die in poverty. I take advantage of the money of men who fall under my spell. I extract money from them so that I can buy designer clothes and lead a hip girl’s life,” she confides.

The girl is not shy and she continues: “I don’t care about others, what matters is having my hands full of banknotes to buy whatever I want, ‘natural’ hair, trendy laptop, go to a restaurant with girlfriends to eat good food. I will not continue to live in precariousness like my sisters.”

These practices are often called disguised prostitution!

Many people believe that what these so-called “hip” girls are doing is nothing but disguised prostitution.

Our hike took us to the heart of the Point-E neighborhood, a stone’s throw from the university, in front of a bank structure where students are lined up quietly collecting their money at an ATM. Here fatigue and hunger can be seen on the faces. Juice and fresh water vendors storm the scene to sell their products. From time to time some students leave their ranks to buy something to eat or drink. Some of them, headphones glued to their ears, quietly listen to music. At this time of the morning, the road leading to this street is experiencing huge traffic jams due to the work being done on the roadside. This same work created water leaks making the situation much more complicated. Endless horns disturb the apparent calm that reigned on the premises. Some students have agreed to talk to us.

“I think it's disguised prostitution because going to clubs, going shopping every day, wanting to dress expensive every day without having the means or working. This means that they are available to men. This is prostitution, which is why we should avoid these trendy girlish trends of going to nightclubs and very fancy places when you can't afford it. This form is the worst of prostitutes because, at least, the girls on the sidewalks display and assert themselves as prostitutes and are recognized as such. However these trendy or VIP girls do it to live beyond their means or to show people that they are in the opulence when it is not the case,” says Khady, a student we found in the ranks in front of a banking structure.

She continues, “I think just the fact that you tell a girl that she's a jet-setter or a VIP, refers to a libertine girl, who does what she wants. A girl must have limits in her life. She needs to know what she wants, what not to do and where to set foot. Girls must accept all names except jet setter. These girls are on the wrong track, what makes them run is living in luxury; it's material, and money. I know girls who are educated, who have gone to school and engage in these practices. They always dress “sexy” and they spend all their time in clubs or in town to do what is called “tekk deal,” that is to say they appear with wealthy men for their money. With the money they take from men, they compete with other girls by showing them that they put on valuable clothes, and that they go to fancy places.”

As for Seydina, president of the citizens’ initiative group, he said: “One day, I was approached in town by a girl who was dressed very 'sexy'. I was sitting quietly waiting for the bus. During our discussion, she told me that her dress is just to attract well-heeled men who sometimes invite her to sit next to them in a shiny car. She says that wealthy men prefer trendy girls and not the molds.”

“Girls connected are a craze in Senegal. And what favors this situation is first of all the lack of education and the materialism, because the girls are very materialistic. So girls who can't afford certain possessions are forced to date rich men. I can't conceive of a Muslim girl dressing like this just because she has to be hip. I think “sexy” clothing is a worldwide phenomenon, but they have to be careful. People bought the devil and put it in their homes, that's television. And if a girl does not dress “sexy,” does not have fake natural hair and a chic cell phone, she is excluded from the circle of trendy girls. “ said Pape Thiaw.

“Jet-setters” or VIPs have private apartments!

In the world of so-called “trendy” girls, “jet-setters” or VIPs have private apartments where they meet together to have “party” with well-heeled men or celebrities.

“I have an apartment that I share with some friends to receive our men and friends. What we want is to wear designer clothes, to lead a good life, to always go shopping, to celebrate our birthdays, to organize class dinners ”, suggests a girl who calls herself VIP. She continues “When you see a trendy girl you can easily recognize her through her behavior. She doesn't care about what other people think, she dresses classy, has the latest-generation laptop, takes cabs, goes to fancy places and doesn't date just anyone.”
